If the atlas "tracts" up or down on the left condyle, you will be able to see the misalignment being created and demonstrated on the right condyle. (This animation will show both the over lap (ASR) and the under lap (PIL) of C1 in relation to Occiput.)

Animation 2

Have you ever seen C2 "Pivot" on C3... and go anterior? (this animation shows just that. It then goes on to demonstrate a posterior translation while also pivoting on the right articulation)

The Blair Stereo films will show you this very situation (one or the other). The Blair Seminars will show you how to make the necessary correction.

This animation will show you the ALS of C2 over C3, the misalignment is defined by the direction of the SP and then PRI of C2 over C3.
